Strategy: residential planning expansion and asset management
The Brighton investment comprised of a freehold commercial site spanning over 58,000 square feet (GIA) from the basement to the plant room on the 6th floor. The site sits in the heart of Brighton with less than a 10-minute walk to the train station and just 150 metres from the major shopping centre, Churchill Square. The site also benefits from sea views on the upper floors. In 2018 planning consent was granted to convert the space to 149 residential units, ideal for potential student living. The site was originally fully let as offices to HMRC. During 2019 an agreement was made with HMRC to terminate their lease and exit the site early. The site was sold to a student accommodation specialist in January 2020.
